Hobart, Traulsen, and Vulcan Announce Second Winner of Save Your Kitchen 2025

Ft. Worth, TX (June 16, 2025) – ITW Food Equipment Group is pleased to announce that Central City Community School District (CSD) of Central City, Iowa, has been named the second winner of the 2025 Save Your Kitchen contest, presented by Traulsen, Hobart, and Vulcan. This prize package will bring state-of-the-art kitchen equipment to Central City CSD, significantly enhancing its food service operations.

Now in its twelfth year, the popular K-12 kitchen equipment makeover initiative kicked off this February. The Save Your Kitchen contest provides premium ITW Food Equipment to four winning sweepstake entrants annually.

Central City CSD is projected to serve approximately 325 students from kindergarten through 12th grade in 2026. The district’s food service team, whose director commended their exceptional ability to multitask, consistently delivers meals that are both nutritious and delicious, ensuring that students are well-nourished and ready to thrive in the classroom. With a strong commitment to meaningful collaboration, Central City CSD’s nutrition program continues to develop dynamic, student-centered solutions that promote health, wellness, and academic success.

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance meal planning, Central City CSD’s food service team is placing greater emphasis on reducing food waste. The sweepstakes are open to K-12 nutrition professionals in the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
